ULM's Revell will miss 3-to-6 weeks with thumb injury

The extent of ULM quarterback Trey Revell’s injury Tuesday night was underestimated by the junior at the time his thumb connected with an Arkansas State helmet with full force in the second quarter.

For defensive back James Truxillo, he immediately thought worst case scenario when he went down the following quarter with a knee injury.
Instead, Revell will be the one missing the most time with a broken thumb while Truxillo can breathe a little easier with his news Thursday.

“We couldn’t have asked for it to be any better,” ULM head trainer Phil Shaw said. “Best case scenario is shooting for getting back for Troy. Get him back for that conference game, but Trey will work hard. He’ll do everything we ask him to do.”
