These guys just can't keep their noses clean.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- UAB assistant coach Pat Donohoe was arrested on a marijuana possession charge during a recruiting trip.

Donohoe, 51, was arrested Friday after a small amount of what was apparently marijuana was found in his vehicle, state troopers spokesman Sgt. Tim Sartain said. A trooper had pulled him over for an unspecified traffic violation.

Donohoe, who was in Moulton on a recruiting trip, was not allowed to attend UAB's game at Mississippi State.

"He's absolutely suspended unless I find out anything different," said UAB coach Watson Brown, also the school's athletic director.

Donohoe was charged with possession of marijuana in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor. He has been on the UAB staff since Brown arrived in 1995.

That's got to be wonderful for recruiting.

That story even made the papers down here.

It may be great for recruiting. Look at who UAB recruits. Marijuana is only a misdemeanor, most of the squad are felons.

Can you imagine what the CUSA conference meetings are going to be like?

Mike Price is bringing the hookers.
Larry Eustachy is bringing the booze.
And this guy is bringing the smoke.

Sounds like a conference that knows how to party!
