Has anyone seen the teams coming to this thing? Ohio State and Iowa along with Middle Tenn State, thats pretty good company. Ohio State was 36-25 in 04 and have the Big Ten player of the year in Steve Caravati, an outfielder who batted .392 last year, with 92 hits and 16 dingers.

Just wondered how to get tickets? Is there a package deal? Is the schedule out yet?

Would just like to get any information I can on the tournament.

I googled it and couldn't find much. It's hosted by the Dothan Leisure Services...or so this site says. It's at Northcutt Field at Westgate Park in Dothan...very easy to find. Northcutt field is fairly nice for a public facility.

There's no info on there about it, just the dates...but you could contact them for more info.

As most of you know where I work, I'll be sure to post any information on the Classic as soon as I hear something. It should be a great tourny this year and I plan to make all of the Troy games and a few of the others. Heck, I may even be able to help a few of you out with tickets. It's still early, but we should try to get as many people as we can to the tourny and show the Big 10 that Troy is on the way up! It should be very exciting.

Im sure you can get tickets through the TROY ticket office.

Northcutt isnt bad...
Until it rains, that thing does not drain at all.

Let's see a show of hands from those going to the Classic this weekend. I hope there will be several of you in attendance. Let's figure out a way to all meet up. If you need tickets, I believe you can call The Dothan Eagle. I suggest everyone get the weekend pass. As of now, I'm planning to take off from work at noon on Friday. This should be a great tourny and I believe Troy has a good opportunity to win it all and bring more than just our football team into the National spotlight.

I'm going home to Dothan this weekend...I might be there...it depends on if my buddy's headers come in this week for his car. If they do...that's what we're doing this weekend. If not...we'll probably go to the games...

They talked to Shannon Collins on WTVY today at Noon (he's an owner of ScreenTech)...
He said tickets can be bought at the gate...starting 2 hours before gametime. And for more info about the whole tourney pass call (334)792-7010. I think he said it's 20$

Can anyone tell me where Northcutt field is? I'll be near Dothan this weekend and I'd like to go to the Troy games. I haven't seen much publicity on this.

Do you know where Westgate Park is located? If not, it is right off of Westgate Parkway. I'm not sure where you are coming from, but if you are coming South down 231, come into Dothan and when you get to the traffic light right after Willy T's, take a right. That will be Westgate Parkway. Go about two miles and you will see signs for Westgate Park on the right. Northcutt Field will be easy to find from there. Just look for all the people.

If you are coming from Florida, then take 231 all the way to Ross Clark Circle and then take a left on the Circle. Go all the way around to Main Street. When you see Bruno's on the right, the next traffic light is Main Street (Hwy 84 West). Take a left on Main (Hwy 84 West) and then the first light you come to will be Westgate Parkway. Take a right and Westgate Park will be less than half a mile on your left.

Now, everyone should have direction whether you are coming from the North or the South. I'll post a link to my website with my picture so everyone will know what I look like. If you see me, introduce yourself. I want to meet as many people from this board as possible at the tournament. I will have an orange VIP pass hanging around my kneck so there's another clue if you think you recognize me.

About the teams coming to the Classic.

Ohio State: Will open their 2005 campaign at the classic. Big time player will be Trey Fausnaugh. Relief pitcher. He is on the Collegiate Baseball Writers Association watch list for the show stopper of the year award. Offensively they can handle the bat as well.

A win for Troy over OSU would increase their RPI rating and would also help them later in the season when looking for a Regional Tournament bid.

MTSU: Not much information on the web for these guys. They are 1-1 on the season and were not able to play their third game against Ball State on Sunday, due to inclement weather. The Trojans swept them last season at MTSU, so it may prove to be the best game of the tournament.

A win for Troy over MTSU would also help their RPI rating.

Iowa: Recruiting class ranked No. 1 in the Big 10 and No. 45 in the nation. Will also open 2005 season at the Classic. Good offensively and good defensively. Have the potential to be like this year's Auburn squad.

A win for Troy over Iowa will greatly improve the Trojans RPI.
