Will the real Trojan fans please stand up?

Ok, we had a great win on Monday, but the gym was half empty! Where are all the fans?! Everyone needs to come out and yell and be a part of the game. Heck, I'm making my 2nd trip from Bham this week. Some of you students sitting in the rafters...come down and sit on the floor with us if no one is down there.

What was the attendance number for that game? What else was there to do in Troy that night? Geeze! The arena is not that big!

You people up there really take for granted what you have. People like me have to spend many hundreds of dollars to do what you can for a few bucks.

So, what's up with Ga. State this year? Should we expect an easy Troy victory tonight or a letdown? I would love to go into Orlando (actually suburban Oviedo, Fla.) with a four-game win streak.

I agree, I took my time in Troy for granted. If I knew then what I know now I would have gotten my butt to every game I could.

I was at the game Monday, and thought we were going to have another classic meltdown. If no one is down there tonight, I'll come over there and give everyone an earfull. I just didnt want others to get their underwear up their crack over people sitting there that didnt pay to. :roll:

I miss my school dammit..I remember my g/f and I were die hard fans..even when we werent in pep band. And the crap comes with perks like free tickets from Dr. Hawkins..sitting with the Chancellor talking about all kinds of crap...hell even sitting with Ben Fletcher and my friend from Jones (Ced Petteway) were just freaking awesome. I know what it is Markus..its Alaslowa..they must have a good team this year..so everyone bolts the campus on the weekends. Do you remember the Jerk St. game where you almost flipped out on the refs! HAHA that was funny dude..I wanted to throw a chair at him..and we were moaning and groaning at all the fouling Jerk St. was putting on our boyz..those were the good old days..Now I am stuck down here watching UTPA..which actually has a pretty damn good team..I think they are 10-5..but they dont play anyone! laterz!

You cannot tell if the people sitting in the chair back seats are dead or alive until halftime when they get up to go eat the free food. A lot of these people will not even stand up when the Trojans appear on the court or when they play the fight song.

Seems like we have fair weather fans. In past years, the place would have packed to see the first place team come to Troy. I was really disappointed with the student turnout. It was not as if we had tests. Hopefully tonight will be better, despite the rain.

And for that matter, does the real Trojan Fan know the words to the fight song? It would be awesome if everyone would stand up and chime in with the pep band with the words to the national anthem and the fight song. Let's get some people on their feet...get a whole section to stand the whole game! The people sitting near the pep band got some cheers going last game....keep it up and it will spread!

Actually, Whiner, they replaced the "here's to old Troy State" with "here's to T-R-O-Y." It takes a while to get used to it, but it's not that bad.

Too bad the people tonight didn't know it. Now that I think about it, they didn't stand up much either. Maybe they are not real Trojan fans!

Everything I saw on the fight song this year said "Here's to Old Troy U", much better hten T-R-O-Y in my opinion...

Well, I sing the fight song with the band, and they told us that it's "here's to T-R-O-Y", so I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

Pretty bad to hear that the stands are only half full. Like Bob Markey posted, folks up there don't realize what they have and how close it is. I really wish the students would make an effort to show up at the games!

Enough said.

Several of us will be at the UCF game tomorrow. I hope we beat those guys.....I hate UCF!

Also, I will be going south on Tuesday to see them play FAU.
