Dang he did look like Osama didn't he? I never thought about that before either. Still, you think somebody would have addressed this well in advance and come up with something good!

can someone post a picture of both T-Roy and Usama so we can see them side by side?

This is the first place I have heard of it. I would have never made that connection myself.

I say keep T-Roy, but maybe not quite as bulky. The Hector idea would be great for a slim mascot. Kind of like how the Atlanta Hawks have Harry the Hawk as their big bulky mascot and they Sky Hawk which is just a guy in a suit with minor padding, and a mask of course. Have Hector do stunts (especially at basketball games - dunking off a trampoline) and keep T-Roy for the nostalgia.

It is an eerie resemblance, unfortunately, but please don't let them turn him into the Hulk. Although, if you want to get technical, the ancient city of Troy was in Asia Minor, or today's Turkey, so those Trojans would have had an Arab flair to their appearance. Maybe we should say we were somewhat historically accurate.

If that is the reason we are reworking T-Roy, then you should call them and tell thim to halt!

Bring back a Trojan Warrior on a horse and have him charge to midfield before the game and plunge a sword into the middle of the logo....sounds familiar, I know.

Or, have the UPS man dress up as a Trojan Warrior and deliver the gameball before the game....

I don't know about the resemblance issue, but we need a mobile, interactive mascot. We were at the Utah St game seated next to the few Aggie fans that made the trip. The Aggie mascot, Big Blue, actually came up into the stands and interacted with the fans and kids. My kids loved it and so did everyone else. I just hope we get one that is likeable, not necessarily cute, and can move around with enough freedom to get the little ones into the gameday experience. It's never too early to start recruiting lifelong fans.

hahaha, I saw that...he started pestering this kid, and the kid shot him in the face with silly string (seemed staged) but then it looked like the Aggie mascot threw a coke on the kid (couldn't see too well, lots of people)...seemed a bit childish, kid shot him in the face w/ silly string again and a guy I know escorted the mascot back to the field.
