Asking a favor at The Gallery

At the game Saturday I noticed the American flag that is on the high pole just inside the main entrance. It looked ragged and weathered. If someone at Troy has the access and authority, PLEASE replace this flag when needed (and it is needed). The stadium is named Movie Gallery VETERANS MEMORIAL stadium. Let's not forget the veterans memorial part.

I think one US flag is sufficent in the stadium.
My idea for the, what is it 8 poles at the front of the stadium, is to put championship flags on those.
Put the conf. name and the years we won it under it. for each conf we have been in also the National Championships Im sure we can fill those polls with Trojan Pride.

One may be enough, but don't let it get bleached and worn and tattered.

I get sick every time I see a worn out American flag flying somewhere. There is a responsibility to take care of that flag, and treat it like an American flag is supposed to be treated. The flag is so much more than a bunch of polyester sewn together. A lot of people have died (and continue to die) for the freedom to fly that flag. :D

It is a shame that the flag has even gotten in that condition. We have spent God only knows how much money on the logo change (uniforms, field, etc.) and we can't take the small amount of time and money that it takes to replace one small flag. Sad. If it is still there when I get out of class, I think i'll photograph it and call someone in athletics and let them know how I feel.
