What's Hot and Not for the 2008 College Football Season

What's Not:

Big 12 defenses: Great quarterbacks or lousy defenses? Only one Big 12 team ranked in the top 25 nationally in total defense in 2007 -- No. 12 Kansas. Nine Big 12 teams ranked No. 52 or worse, including No. 101 Oklahoma State, No. 110 Baylor and No. 112 Nebraska.

No. 3 Fastest Offense vs. No. 101 Defense!! I smell another "upset"!!!

Troy: USC season-ticket holders will enjoy this home schedule in 2008: Ohio State, Oregon, Arizona State, Washington, Cal and Notre Dame.

Gahhhh when is this gonna end???

Should also specify that the top 10 list is for fastest OFFENSIVE tempos, not teams. Still a huge compliment though. They should do a top 10 on who has the fastest teams.

The funny thing is he did, but look at the comments and look at all the elitest BCS punks (especially SEC) getting upset.

It will end when the real Troy starts beating the big boys consistently and it will become too confusing for the media to keep calling the LA School of Cosmetology "Troy" or "Men of Troy"

if we beat them back-to-back, is it still an upset?

Of course not, I don't think it would be an upset at all. But you KNOW the line is going to favor Oklahoma State.

Depends.....if we beat LSU or Ohio St, or make the games verrrry close, Ok. St. may not be favored.

wouldn't it be something for Troy to go into Stillwater favored?!

Frankly, I'd rather go in as the underdog. I think that if we're favored against Oklahoma State we risk coming in kind of "smug" and saying "yeah, we're favored against a Big 12 team!" But if we come in as underdogs, as usual, it could light a fire under our butts to prove the line and everyone else wrong.

true, but it could also have a much different effect. our boys could come in with a sense of responsibility, feeling like they have arrived and MUST win the game for the betterment of both their careers and the Trojan Nation.
