I guess that explains why your conference went 0-3 against the Sun Belt this year. Oh and I don't wan't to hear that crap about you didn't schedule our best teams, blah blah blah. Schedule some more games against us and UNT!!!!!!!!

Interesting that you would use that data (2003) to support your case for this year. I'll use just one set of data -- Sagarin -- to prove to you that on the field (where it counts) the Sunbelt is considerably higher than the MAC. Oh yeah, we are also 3-0 against the MAC this year - soon to be 4-0!

His Huskies are in for one very rude awakening. I'm not so sure that North Texas will beat Southern Miss, but I am very certain that Troy will beat Northern Illinois.

yes it is data not including this year, but if you could read you would have seen that it was not last years data. It is the data for the last 3 years overall. it shows that the MAC is superior to the Sun belt and has been over the last 3 years.

And that is change Calvin. And I hate to break it to you, but everyone in college football is now aware of this change--the MAC is now the worst 1-A conference. Just ask the conference commissioners. The MAC is dead last. You guys are horrible. And we're going to show you what having a good record in the worst conference gets you. We are going to wax the San Jose floor with your pathetic excuse of a football team. You don't have a chance...as a matter of fact, if I were the coach at the Huskies I wouldn't even send the team.

You jackass, we were independent during those 3 years...this is TROY's first year in the Sunbelt...geez what a moron! Go back to your board dumbass...

As markus said, the MAC was rated behind the SBC this year. The NIU poster "conveniently" forgets this fact. Also, the SBC has only existed for IA football for 4 years. That track record hardly has enough years for comparison anyway. Ten years out, the SBC will jump way ahead of his jackass league in all categories.

How can you be so certain, Raider?

I don't get you guys... I can recall many teams from the MAC being nationally ranked in the last few years. NIU broke the top 25 for a few weeks this year and so did Bowling Green. In 2003, NIU was a high as #12 and our MAC peers Marshall, Toledo, Bowling Green and Miami-Ohio have all seen top 25 action.
What you fail to realize is that the MAC is top heavy. I'll concede that we have some bottom feeders in the MAC. Then again, we have 14 teams in the MAC while the Sun Belt only has 9 football teams. Somehow you have 16 schools in your powerful conference though - what the hell is that all about. I guess If we trimmed the fat in the MAC and dropped some of our weaker links (D-I minimum attendance requirements will take care of this for us in time...) our conference wouldn't be so top heavy and might garner more respect.
As for the Sun Belt - I just haven't seen the proof by evidence of Top 25 polling recognition that you guys are more than a dog ass, wanna be, pseudo Division I-A conference.

CBS Sportsline rankings
114 Buffalo
115 Ball State
116 Western Michigan
117 Central Florida
Maybe the MAC is anchored to the bottom rather than being top heavy ?
Go Akron

And we fans of the Sun Belt schools haven't seen any proof that the MAC schools are currently deserving of any Top 25 polling recognition. The MAC's 0-3 record versus the Sun Belt THIS YEAR does show us that the MAC THIS YEAR is nothing more than a dog @ss, wanna be, pseudo Division 1-A confererence.
